External power not needed since power comes from RS232 (DTR high).? A mini phone plug for the REMOTE jack on your ICOM radio. The circuitry is discrete and fits inside the DB-9 head.?
?This cable OPC can also be used for cloning with ICOM's handheld receivers when plugged into the CI-V jack (not the speaker jack).?
