Our cable works with many common ham radio logging programs ( )
and your PC to allow computer control of your ICOM radio. It features a DB9 connector which plugs into your computer's serial port RS232. External power not needed since power comes from RS232 (DTR high). A mini phone plug for the REMOTE jack on your ICOM radio. The circuitry is discrete and fits inside the DB-9 head.
This cable OPC can also be used for cloning with ICOM's handheld receivers when plugged into the CI-V jack (not the speaker jack).
With slight modification, you can expand the range of ICOM radio with which this cable can program. I shall leave this to the experts.
