• cable is super heavy duty type, very thick and very robust.  Don't buy those that is thinly built, they break and wear out easily
• Cable is shielded, comes with ferrite filter to provide best EMI performance. It comes with ferrite core which adds a small inductance to the cable to attenuate high frequency noise, which may cause communication problems. It reduces the digital RF switching noise from going down the shield of the cable. • Connection to your computer is via USB port.  Do not buy those RS232 cable that comes with a USB-RS232 adapter, you will have tons of compatibility problems.  If you want a RS232 cable, then connect it only to RS232 port and not to a USB port via USB-RS232 adapter.
