Use this
cable to connect your notebook computer to your GPS. You can also use it
for real-time map plotting.

cable is super heavy
duty type, very thick and very robust. Don't buy those that is thinly
built, they break and wear out easily
Connection to your
computer is via USB port. Do not buy those RS232
cable that comes with a USB-RS232 adapter, you will have tons of
compatibility problems. If you want a RS232 cable, then connect
it only to RS232 port and not to a USB port via USB-RS232 adapter.
This cable does not provide power.

I also want to add a useful tip to make your cable even better. I am a
Macintosh user. The auction mentions Macintosh users (and believe me,
the cable works great with Macs). The typical Mac user might not know
where to get software to use the cable, though, and if they can't find
software, they can't use the cable. You might want to point your winners
