Ever try to use your Garmin GPS unit in a big van or SUV and then straining yourself by placing the GPS handheld unit as near to the window as possible trying to obtain weak GPS signal made even weaker due to the window glass? If your GPs unit is far from the window, you will have a hard time getting any GPS signal at all. We have a solution for you.
Offered here is ONE PIECE new aftermarket Remote GPS Signal Repeater. It enhances GPS signal inside your vehicle. It is compatible with all GPS units made by Garmin, Magellan, Mio and etc. As long as your GPS unit can receive GPS signal broadcasted by the satellites, then your GPS unit will accept the signal broadcasted by this repeater. This unit comes with a GPS receiver antenna, which receives all the GPs signal from the satellite. Next, it will broadcast the signals it receives via the GPS signal repeater/transmitter (see photo#1 and #2 below).
When using the unit, please make sure you place the repeateras far away (preferably over 2.5 meters) from the receiver as possible to avoid echo / mirroring feedback. Make sure you supply power to the unit by plugging the Cigarette lighter plug to your ciggarette lighter socket in your car. Photo #3 shows length of the cable. Total length is 6 meter. Length from plug to repeater is 3 meter. From Repeater to Receiver is 3 meter.
Setup:
1. Place the receiver (has a built in magnet) on the roof top of your vehicle.
2. Stick the suction cup on the windshield.
3. Place the repeater (has a built in magnet) on the iron disc of the suction cup. Please make sure you place the repeater as far away (preferably over 2.5 meters) from the receiver as possible to avoid echo / mirroring feedback.
4. Place the power plug into the power socket of cigarette igniter. When the power is on, the GPS receiver will function normally and all GPs in the vehicle will receive the signal.
