- Cable is shielded, comes
with ferrite filter to provide best EMI performance. It comes with ferrite
core which adds a small inductance to the cable to attenuate high frequency
noise, which may cause communication problems. It reduces the digital RF
switching noise from going down the shield of the cable. In other words, it
reduces or eliminates Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electromagnetic
Interference (EMI) from your electronic equipment. As good as Garmin made

- Connection to your
computer is via USB port. Do not buy those RS232
cable that comes with a USB-RS232 adapter, you will have tons of
compatibility problems. If you want a RS232 cable, then connect
it only to RS232 port and not to a USB port via USB-RS232 adapter.
